I cannot say that I have captured the spirit of Kolkata in a brief period of two months. But this city gave me the new energy and passion to hold up my camera again, after a stop of more than one year.
The ubiquity chanting for gods, the beautiful sound of ragas, the various colours and lights in the streets, the shining eyes of the people, the smoky fire in the stoves, the cheerful shouting of celebrations for the numerous pujas which seem endless, combined with the noises of horn in messy traffic.
All these mixtures, create a symphony between time and space, which transformed me from a long time of isolation or on a second thought it might have pulled me into another “sweet” new dream.
Kolkata faces a lot of problems. Many people are still struggling for small cost of everyday living. But it used to be the heart of India and it is a city with so many magnificent names of spiritual and artistic figures. The deep influences of them remain in this land, which will endure the test of time.
